How to Fly To Krabi

For travelers coming from Bangkok or Northern Thailand, the easiest option is to fly to Krabi. Your flight from Bangkok will last about one hour and twenty minutes. Not very long when compared to a bus trip of 12 hours or more. Families who wish to fly to Krabi for their family holiday can choose between several airlines. The airlines which fly to Krabi are listed below.

Which low cost airline should I choose when in Thailand?

Thai Airlines provides the best service in Thailand. If your travel budget can handle the extra expense, choose Thai Airlines when you fly to Krabi. However, if you want to save some money, there are a few low cost airlines from which to choose. Air Asia often offers the lowest fare for most domestic flights in Thailand. If budget is your biggest concern, then check out Air Asia. I prefer Nok Air because they offer assigned seating and have so many options for payment. If you purchase your tickets to fly to Krabi before your arrival in Thailand, all the airlines accept credit card payment online. Nok Air also accepts payment in cash at most 7-11 convenience stores throughout Thailand. This option requires a mobile phone registered in Thailand. In addition, Nok has business class seating for those times when economy seats just do not meet my needs.

Thai Airways

Thai Airlines

Thai Airlines offers two daily flights between Bangkok and Krabi. Although Thai Air operates many domestic flights from the old international airport, Don Muang, their morning and evening flights to Krabi originate from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai Air costs more than the newer low-cost airlines that provide flights in Thailand's domestic market. But I think the Thai Airline service is worth the extra cost when you fly to Krabi. Check the Thai Airlines website for current flight schedules to Krabi.

Air Asia

Air Asia also offers two daily flights to Krabi from Bangkok. All of Air Asia's domestic flights in Thailand operate from Suvarnabhumi Airport. They are the only budget airline which uses Suvarnabhumi as their base for flights within Thailand.

Air Asia has recently added one international flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Krabi, Thailand. Check the Air Asia website for current flight schedules to Krabi.

Nok Air

Nok Air offers one flight each morning from Bangkok's, Don Muang Airport, to Krabi. I prefer to fly to Krabi on Nok Air because they have competitive prices and offer assigned seats on all their planes. Nok Air tickets can be reserved and paid for online. If you are already in Thailand, your tickets can be paid for at most 7-11 convenience stores. Check out the Nok Air website for current flights schedules to Krabi.

Bangkok Airways

Bangkok Airways has their main hub on Koh Samui. They now have a regular flight from Samui to Krabi on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Check out the Bangkok Airways website to book flights and check on the current flight schedules to Krabi.

There are several other airlines that fly to Phuket. It is possible to board a flight to Phuket and then take a taxi to Krabi.
