Krabi International Airport, Krabi Thailand

The Krabi Airport is not very far from Krabi town, it is only 15km or about 9 miles. Krabi airport is the arrival point for travelers headed to Lanta Island and Ao Nang Beach. Due to its convenient location on the main highway, Route 4, transportation from the Krabi airport to any beach destination in the province is easy to arrange. There are plenty of taxi and limosine services which can be hired at the airport.

Krabi airport has a new international terminal. This new facility opens the door for long haul flights to land at Krabi airport. However, most Krabi flights; originate from Bangkok.

The Krabi airport is similar to most other airports in Thailand. Signs are in English and Thai languages and it it very easy to find your way through the airport once you depart your plane. Follow the signs to the baggage claim area and then go toward the exit. If you are familiar with travel in Thailand, you know what to expect once you exit the baggage claim area. Krabi airport has an official taxi counter just outside of the baggage claim area. This is the best place to hire a taxi if you have not arranged transportation with your Krabi hotel. Once you exit the airport, you may be overwhelmed with the rush of taxi drivers attempting to be hired.
