Krabi Attractions

Krabi is one of the most attractive provinces in Southern Thailand. It borders the Andaman Sea which is home to so many beautiful marine attractions such as white beaches and enchanting sea caves. Perhaps the most popular Krabi attractions are the Phi Phi Islands, or Ko Phi Phi. Many tourists to Ko Phi Phi come directly from nearby Phuket and are under the impression that the Phi Phi islands are part of Phuket, but that doesn't negate the fact that they are located in Krabi province.

Krabi attractions are defined as places to see, such as a temple or cave. If you are interested in things to do while in Krabi, check out the many Krabi activities such as rock climbing and kayaking.

The Krabi attractions are listed according to location. Krabi province is quite large and has many main areas. Krabi town is no longer just the transporation hub for the province. It has grown into a lively town with many good restaurants and hotels. Ao Phra Nang beach is one of the most popular beach areas. It is also the hub for many of the island hopping tours and other activities.

Hat Noppharat Beach is to the west of Ao Nang and has many new hotels and resorts. I think Hat Noppharat is actually a nicer beach than Ao Nang. Railay Beach is east of Ao Nang, but can only be reached by a short boat ride from Ao Nang. Railay beach is the main area for rock climbing in Krabi province.

Koh Lanta Island has grown into a rival with Ao Phra Nang for the most popular beaches in Krabi province. Ao Nang has more facilities, but Koh Lanta beaches are very attractive. Ko Phi Phi is the ultimate tropical paradise. The 2004 tsunami did significant damage to the islands, but it has been rebuilt and is better than ever.
